Have you ever wondered what the US Government would look like if it were an
ice burg? The picture below illustrates what the government should look like
versus what it has grown into. The portion above the water line is what a government
should look like while the entire ice burg represents what the US government
is right now.

A government of the people, by the people and for the people should
represent the needs of all the people that it was created to represent. It is
not to represent only the special interest groups of a country but instead the
entire country as a whole. Anything less is unconstitutional and in some cases
criminal.
Too often in a democratic society, the politicians yield to the special interest
groups that yell the loudest instead of considering the good of the entire country;
they create laws that only benefit the few. While this has in the past proven
to be beneficial to the politicians, thus ensuring the support of the special
interest groups that they serve, it brings the country as a whole closer to
its own demise.
It is time for the common man to stand united and elect our governing officials
based on their willingness to honor the constitution and to protect our country
from those who would put special interest groups ahead of the common good.
What am I talking about you ask? In short, laws that benefit one group of people
over another is not only counter productive to the long term peace and security
that we all seek, but it is also very wrong. Still unclear? A law such as those
passed in previous years that only protect small groups of people from the masses
like the hate crimes law. Why is it a more serious crime to vandalize someone's
church if you hate them for their religious beliefs rather than if you vandalize
their church because you are a jerk? How is the one crime more serious than
the other? The church in question sustained the same amount of damage in both
cases. It will take the same amount of effort to repair the damage. So why is
one worse than the other. Answer: It isn't.
So, why then should one be treated differently than the other? The common sense
answer is that they should both be punished equally. Isn't that why our fore
fathers guaranteed equal treatment under the law? And what should the punishment
be? For the answer to that question, we will need to look at reforming the current
criminal justice system since sending them to jail (crime school) is yet another
way that our government is failing us. That however is yet another discussion.
Since the government is clearly unwilling to police itself and since all too
many so called Government Watchdog groups exist only to promote their own brand
of special interest justice we have created govwatcher.org to represent you
the people. With a common sense approach to all of our social ills.
You can help us to better represent you by; submitting your thoughts to us
in emails and letters, answering our opinion polls, participating in our forum,
and through your generous donations.
Thank you for taking the time to get involved.
